Tekoa, Inc. is a residential treatment facility for adolescents in the New River Valley of Virginia. It was founded in 1994 to provide treatment and special education for children experiencing difficulties at home, in school or in the community. Tekoa is licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services, the Virginia Department of Education and is an approved Virginia Medicaid Provider.

The ultimate goal of treatment is to promote the ability of each child and family to live more peacefully and successfully. Tekoa utilizes experiential therapies to address the self-defeating coping strategies that prevent the individual from living safely and effectively in the community. Our efforts to improve the lives and futures of at-risk youth lead to stronger, healthier, more sustainable communitites. Click on the links below to find out about our specific program areas.
